Retro Game Corps 
Maybe the Trimui deserves an updated review? There was some firmware updates and custom launchers which addresses many issues related here. Now we have earphone support, no (or noticeable less) screen tearing and better emulation, besides system gimmicks like sleep mode, USB host (and a capable file manager), a refined UI and brightness/volume shortcuts.
