I teamed up with MashTec and More Tech Sir! to showcase our own personal “Top 5” retro games. The rules were simple: the game must be playable on a retro handheld device, 5th generation (PS1/N64) or older, and one minute showcase per game. Amazingly there was no overlap!
Great video and a lot of fun. The “More Tech Sir” segment is a *little* different as he lists 7 games and not really in a particular order (and mentioned two that he considered #1), but here’s the list from the video in case wants the list itself to go try these games:
MashTec:
5. Commander Keen (Ports)
4. Golden Axe (Genesis)
3. Monkey Island 2 (ScummVM)
2. Final Fantasy VII (PS1)
1. Diablo 1 (Ports)
More Tech Sir:
– Track & Field International (PS1)
– Future Cop (PS1) – #1?
– Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 (PS1)
– NFL Blitz (PS1)
– Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
– Crash Bandicoot (PS1)
– Doom (SNES & Ports) – #1?
Retro Game Corps:
5. Dragon Warrior (NES)
4. Disney’s Aladdin (Genesis)
3. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Genesis)
2. Mortal Kombat (Arcade)
1. Super Mario Bros 2 (NES)

Thanks for the excellent breakdown! Yeah, More Tech Sir kind of went his own way, but our “rules” were pretty loose so I can understand (after all, I did squeeze in quite a bit of SF2 in my Mortal Kombat segment!).

I can understand why you guys recommend Doom, Super Mario Bros 2, and Monkey Island 2, they play great in this system!
